New Commenting System on Mountain Biking by 198

September 18, 2009 7:45 am

I just wanted to take a second to show you guys our new commenting system before I head off to the Bahamas this morning for our 1st year anniversary…yes…I actually kept her around for a full year as of tomorrow…shocking but true…I even got her this as an anniversary gift!

The new Disqus commenting system that I installed this week should be great news to many of you that comment on this blog (and those that don’t…you should and it will now be easier than ever). With Disqus, there are three features that you guys will be particularly interested in…

  1. You can login with your Facebook account and via Facebook Connect…you will see your profile picture next to your name and you will have the ability to post your comment and the post on your wall/status timeline!
  2. You can also login with your Twitter account and get the same results.
  3. If you blog, Tweet or share on Facebook about one of the articles here on Mountain Biking by 198, it will show up in the reaction section directly below the comments.

What does this mean for you? If you are trying to connect with other mountain bikers through Facebook and Twitter, you can now do that through Mountain Biking by 198. If you are trying to get more readers of your blog, you now get more exposure on Mountain Biking by 198. When it boils down to it…I really wanted a commenting system that rewarded you guys for taking time out of your day to put your thoughts on my pages.

So…if you get a chance today…try it on for size. It looks cleaner and has more features than before…who doesn’t like that?

Thanks for all of the support over the past year and a half and I am looking forward to the future. There are some BIG things on the horizon!
