They are taking care of their customers in a HUGE way too. I had zero issue with the test rig and I really over rode the frame for its intended purpose (last time I checked…you aren’t supposed to drop an 80mm frame from 4ft to flat). I am really looking forward to the 2010 Jet as it will be an incredible endurance/xc race bike.

You need to check out the Niner website the ‘09 Jet 9 has been recalled for frame failures.
Should be fixed for 2010.

Great bike. I test rode the Jet 9 for a day. Loved the setup and it definitely has a race feel for a 29er. Light and the suspension likes to inch forward more than bob. It ended up finishing as runner up to my ultimate purchase as I wanted something I could not only race but was a bit more trailworthy in chunkier terrain. Niner has a great lineup with a little something for everyone.

i have only had my jet 9 for a couple of weeks, and due to all of the rain i have only 2 rides. phenominal!!!!!
i have a pivot mach 4 and cannondale carbon rush with lefty. this bike is best yet.
i am running tubeless, and have no problems.
kick ass bike.

I would echo your thoughts if you had actually shared any thoughts. This is puerile pablum for preschool-minded poseurs. But hey, thanks for imagining yourself a brilliant journalist offering real insights. It’s very entertaining to consider the idea that you’re serious in this review. I laugh out loud at that thought. This review could easily apply to a shovel, or a canteen. Stellar grasp of the subject matter, obviously.

I agree, excellent review. I really would love taking this beauty to the trails. The frame at 80mm may be an issue which is why I would love to try it out. But overall, it is an attractive package.

Great review… I echo your thoughts exactly. The Jet is surprisingly-capable in all terrain. Yes, you can push it to its limits, but for the majority of folks who want a stellar trailbike and don’t huck their meat, the Jet 9 is outstanding.
