Poll Results: How Many Bikes Do You Own?
A week ago, I asked you guys to fill out a simple poll on how many bikes you currently own. I wanted to get an idea of how large the stables are in this community and what you are riding currently. To my surprise…the results were not at all what I thought they would be! (and that’s a good thing)

3 bikes actually took the win! With 2 and 5+ pretty close behind. I’ll be honest. I thought 1 or 2 would have taken the top spot and second, but I was completely wrong. Now…granted…this takes into consideration all bikes which would include road, commuters or even possibly family bikes, but…from the looks of it…you guys have a really healthy stable and that put a huge smile on my face as it would any cycling obsessed junkie.
Older Mountain and Road Bikes
Going through the comments section on the post, I am also seeing a trend of keeping older bikes instead of selling them. This sparked a conversation this week with James over at Bicycle Design, and we started getting together older bike pictures for a post here on Mountain Biking by 198.
If you have any pictures you would like to see included in the post…send them over! You know you want to show off your old ano parts!!! Shoot me an email at info (at) mtbtrailreview.com…and I’ll get them in as part of the “looking back at mountain biking” post.

I own to road bikes one for commuting and one for my training rides.

Good stuff. I guess if I counted my BMX bike and my kids bikes I would be in the 5 bike crew. But counted only my 1 mtb for the poll. Typically I prefer a 3 bike stable. That would be a road bike, a hardtail or XC FS bike, and my main All Mountain rig. Can't help but wonder what the numbers look like outside of your readership though, probably a lot more 1-2 bike people.

I have had 3 bikes forever but gave one to a friend in need this summer. Plan to be back up to 3 bikes again this spring. Usually keep 1 road 1 all-mountain and a loaner for friends who visit.
