SRAM DoubleTap
Component Reviews, Industry News, Reviews | 198 | July 14, 2008 at 7:55 pmSRAM is at it again. The new Doubletap X.9 shifters operate much like their road groupo. You tap the lever lightly to go to a smaller cog/chainring. Push lever further to go to a larger cog/chainring.

Shifters are compatible with SRAM mountain rear derailleurs and front derailleurs.
These new shifters combined with the new Hammerschmidt front shifting device is bound to make it a HUGE Interbike for SRAM this year. It really seems like they are starting to think outside the box of conventional shifting. I welcome this change. Shifting has been done the same for a long time. It’s time to shake things up a little bit.
