This ride is on my “must do list” but with such a busy summer planned, it doesn’t look like I will be able to make the 10 hour trip from Atlanta. I will have to wait until next year to hit this incredible east coast bike park. Some highlights from the flyer: This...

  • Windrock DH – Tackling the Rock
Yesterday, a few of us (Tweety, JeffD, Chucky and Taz) went to Windrock to get in some long downhill runs. Jeff hooked me up with a 9″ GT DHi with a Marzocchi 888 up front to tackle the rock and it ended up being a perfect ride for the day. It was Tweety’s and my first trip up, and it was my first time on a full out downhill bike. The trip up from Atlanta...

  • The Roots of Mountain Biking
A fellow ride on our local blog (Cresdawg) linked up some great articles on the roots of mountain biking, so I thought I’d share them with you guys. They really are great reads, and it is always fun to look back on how it used to be. Most of these pictures are before my time, so it makes it even more interesting in my opinion. Charlie Kelly’s Article In 1977...
