Time To Give Thanks…
Thoughts, Videos | 198 | November 27, 2008 at 10:30 amIt is Thanksgiving over here in the states, so it is time to give thanks for all of the great gifts in our lives. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for supporting MTB by 198 in its first year or operation. A website is nothing but text in space without its readers.
There are a lot of exciting developments in the works and none of that could be done without your support.
GoPro is sent a couple of their new wide angle 5mp Hero helmet cams in for use on the site, so stayed tuned for a lot more video content like this…Brian Lopes ripping up A-Line in Whister shot with a new GroPro.
Brian Lopes railing it down A-line at Whistler… from GoPro on Vimeo.
Or Craig Sanchez ripping it…
Helmet HERO Wide Jedi run through the woods from GoPro on Vimeo.
Or this GoPro Highlight Reel…(we are getting in one of those chest mounts…)

Check out GoPro’s website for more info…

I had a GoPro and it sucked. The memoray cards were never teh right speed or spec- even teh ones reccomended by GoPro. I sent it back to teh states all the way from NZ and it was returned with a message that said that it was fine. It then started to tuen off 20 seconds into recording so once again I changed the batteries and memory card/s and it still never worked. GoPro still insisted that it worked and I should change the card/ batteries again.
I gave up and threw it in the back of the “bike stuff” box and for shits n’ giggles got it out just the other day as I had got some more batteries since. It actually turned on this time and was recording! I then tried to transfer the video (which is USB 1 and takes hours) and it just kept disconnecting during transfer.
I then smashed this piece of garbage with a hammer and it was the most enjoyable experience that the $1 camera that retails for hundreds of $$ had given me since laying out the bucks on it (+ cards and batteries).
Total garbage.
