  • Silence Is Golden – SS Rigid Singlespeed Ride
The past week or so has contained some stressful events both personally and professionally. As any seasoned mountain biker knows, the best way to shrug off the stress and get your head straight is to get out and ride…so that’s what I did. This past Saturday, I grabbed my rigid, SS, 29er and hit the trail with a friend. No cameras, no review product…nothing...

  • 2009 Niner W.F.O. 9 – Long Travel 29er
Niner Bikes started off Eurobike with a bang. Check out the new W.F.O. 9 that will be available in 2009. This is a post from the guys at Niner that can be found on this thread on MTBR.com. • Ellsworth Evolve – Project Pink 29er – Review Update
Photo by Joe Cattoni (aka. epoJoe) I have had some serious ride time on the Evolve over the past couple of weeks. I figured it was time to update you guys on the progress of the review, so here is what I have found so far. Ellsworth Evolve – The Ride The momentum that 29ers create is well documented. On my local trails, the larger diameter wheels are incredible....

  • WTB LaserDisc Trail 29er Wheelset
As many of you already know, I am in the process of reviewing the Project Pink Ellsworth Evolve. Before I get to the overall bike review (pretty much frame only review), I want to touch on a couple of the components as I go along. This bike came spec’ed with the WTB LaserDisc Trail 29er wheels. Here is the information on these wheels from WTB’s website: USAGE:29″...

  • Ellsworth Evolve – Project Pink 29er In for Review
On Friday, I received my package from out west. The content of this large box contained everything needed to build the Ellsworth Evolve (Ellsworth’s 4″ full suspension 29er frame) for a long term review. To my surprise, I opened the box at T2 Bikes and inside was a bright pink Evolve! The bike looks great and I am more than happy to promote breast cancer awareness....

  • Maxxis Ardent 29er – Tested – 29×2.25
The second ride on the Ardents changed my opinion on their performance due to a critical change in air pressure. I lowered the front another couple psi to the 26 lbs. range and the tire performed so well that I had to re-write this review. I took the Ardents up to Pinhoti 2, 3 and 4 up in the north Georgia mountains over the weekend to get some long mile testing in....

  • Maxxis 29er Ardents Mounted – 29×2.25
I finally got a chance to get the new 29er Ardents from Maxxis mounted the night before I am supposed to be riding the north Georgia mountains.  First, these tires go on Stans Flow rims extremely easy.  There was no need for tire levers at all.  I didn’t have a compressor handy, so right now they are mounted up with light weight 26er tubes. Each tire is set at...
